Seguem abaixo algumas atividades que vão ocorrer em Ottawa para ajudar as vítimas do terremoto no Chile. O texto está em espanhol porque foi produzido pelo grupo Rede Cultural Hispânica. Com se trata de uma língua irmã, não traduzimos o texto, inclusive para manter a fidelidade de sentidos.
Algunas actividades planificadas para ayudar a los damnificados del terremoto en Chile:
Viernes 5 de marzo, a partir de las 6:00 PM Restaurant Viña del Mar, 1079 Wellington Street, Ottawa (613) 724-3000. El restaurant donará ventas de la noche menos el costo a campaña “Chile ayuda a Chile”, anunciada el martes por la Presidenta Michelle Bachelet y que será conducido por Don Francisco desde Chile. El programa durará 24 horas a partir de las 8:00 PM (hora de Ottawa) y el programa será transmitido por TV Chile y podrá verse en el restaurant. Los asistentes podrán hacer donaciones a esta causa y también al Earthquake Relief Fund, ONEMI, Chile.
El programa de TV confirmó la presencia de grupos como La Noche, Américo, Chico Trujillo, Difuntos Correa y Los Jaivas, además de los internacionales Diego Torres, Ricardo Montaner y Ricardo Arjona.
La jornada contará con los tradicionales telefonistas, que estarán monitoreando la situación, entre los que se contarán varios humoristas y el técnico de la selección chilena, Marcelo Bielsa.

A group of Chilean-Canadians in Ottawa has put together an activity aimed at helping to provide immediate relief to the children affected by the earthquake in Chile. They have collected winter children's clothes to be shipped to the areas most affected. In addition, they want to invite you to participate at in a musical evening organized to collect funds and cover the costs of transporting the clothes from Canada to Chile. The artists that evening will be: Colores Andinos, Alfredo Labbe, Kuntur Criollo, Cristina Sepúlveda, Gipsy Jazz Ensemble, Gustavo Saavedra, Asunto Secreto, Empress Niringango,Patrico Ponce, Los Ases de la Cueca, Florquestra Brasil, Churún Merú.
